Street furniture helps to define the fabric of our towns and cities. Street furniture including benches, signs, railing and litter bins, help to shape our daily lives and perceptions of our surroundings.
T & D Cruickshanks Ltd use their blacksmith and light structural engineering skills to produce many of the elements of everyday life that we take for granted.
An example of this kind of work is the series of street benches and litter bins pictured here. T&D Cruickshanks Ltd were asked by the designer to produce the benches shown from a blend of powder coated galvanised mild steel and stainless steel to fulfill a commission for Gateshead Council.
